Dear Mr. Reg Andrews and Members of the Academy Board,
 
It is with great joy that Joyce and I contact you and all in attendance at the 40th anniversary of the Peoples Christian Academy.
 
We especially wanted to be there in person to celebrate with you on this special occasion.  You all have a major part in our hearts.  We have been praying for you and the students in the move to the new location at this momentous time.
 
Health needs have prevented us from attending.  May God in His grace, power and wisdom, give you a miracle of another successful year as Jesus tarries His coming.  God bless you all and use you for His glory.

Peoples Christian School Address:

From Jeremy Sinnott:    I wish I could be there with you today.  Unfortunately, I am out of the country at this time.  I’m sure I would recognize many of you from past years and would love to have heard what God has been doing in your lives.

I was a teacher at the Peoples Christian School in 1973 and became principal of the Paul B. Smith Academy in 1975.  In 1981, I transferred to the Oswald J. Smith Elementary School and remained there as principal until 1992 when I became a pastor.  Presently my job is to teach and equip Pastors and Christian leaders worldwide.

I want to give my greetings and congratulations to the Board, Faculty and Staff of the Peoples Christian Schools for 40 years of faithful service to our Lord and to the students you serve.  Well done!

It was first through men of vision like Dr. Oswald J. Smith, Dr. Paul B. Smith, and Dr. Daniel Edmundson that the dream of a Christian School became a reality.  I worked with all of these men and can testify of their commitment to quality education, quality teachers, high standards, and Christian content in every subject.  They, as I am, would have been proud of this day.

God has been good and the Peoples Christian Schools have grown as a Christian educational institution that is recognized around the world.  May our Lord continue to bless you and give you His wisdom and His provision for the days ahead as you continue to raise up the next generation of Godly leaders.

On The 40th Anniversary of Peoples Christian Academy

I welcome this opportunity to send my heartiest congratulations to Peoples Christian Academy as you celebrate this special landmark in the life of the school.  On both a professional and personal level as a parent, grandparent, teacher, principal and headmaster - I was privileged to associate with many wonderful individuals - dedicated board members, exceptional Christian educators, devoted parents and extraordinary students. These interactions impacted my life and made my association with the PCA community one that I will never forget.

Dr. Paul B. Smith, founder of the academy, once told me that he thought that establishing the school was one of his most gratifying achievements. He explained that while his opportunity to share the Gospel with his congregation was limited primarily to two or three times a week, a Christian school was able to reach students five hours a day, five days a week. His vision has been lived out each school day since 1971, making a significant impact on not only each student and family, but on the community and the world.

I commend the school leadership for continuing this vision of Dr. Smith as they begin a new chapter in the ministry of the Academy.  I am especially pleased that you have chosen Reg Andrews to lead the school during these exciting times. Having worked closely with Reg over the years, I have great appreciation for his commitment to caring for both the heart and the mind of each student entrusted to the Academy’s care.

The eagle has been a powerful symbol for Peoples Christian Academy.  I am reminded of the lyrics of a song by Michael Joncas:


These words are my prayer for all who are involved with Peoples Christian Academy on these important days of celebration.

In honor of the 40th anniversary of Peoples Christian Academy and its move to a new campus, I commend each of you for your dedication, support and hard work. You deserve to be proud of your achievements. May your future efforts be equally successful and rewarding, as you strive to fulfill your commitment of partnering with parents to raise up the next generation of Christian men and women.
