"…Peoples Christian school experience played a significant role in shaping who I am today. I saw role models in teachers of people who weren’t necessarily perfect but who were honestly trying to live out their lives as Christ followers. I think it also surrounded me with quality friends -- many who would be near and distant friends for a lifetime... One of the greatest life skills I learnt was ‘how to study’. May sound like a funny thing to say but there are a lot of students who don’t know how to study -- my experience at PCA really reinforced how to study and the benefits were great…throughout my whole academic career (and I studied for 12 years after high school to complete all the training I needed to be an obstetrician/gynecologist), those good study habits got me through what seemed like impossible mountains of exams and assignments."

Home, Church, ...and School.Complete your child's academic and spiritual foundation.Recognizing the central importance of spiritual formation in the lives of its students, PCA understands that it cannot do the job alone. The home provides the primary base for the spiritual orientation and nurturing of the child. Ideally, the school serves to carry out the wishes of the parents in how it approaches the duty of spiritual instruction and guidance. It is expected that, just as in academics, the parents will be vitally engaged in the spiritual progress of the child. The parents are spiritual caregivers and, as such, are invited to interact with the child’s teacher(s) to monitor his/her spiritual growth. Through our Parent Advisory Committee we will see this partnership lived out in practical ways as parents become participants in varied curricular and co-curricular projects and activities.
Also, as far as it is possible, PCA will seek to partner with the child’s church so that it can complement the church’s influence. Pastors and youth leaders will be welcomed to dialogue with the school and hopefully assist in adding enrichment to the programs and activities of the school as they relate to the spiritual well-being of the student. All in all, there ought to be a harmony and a consistent message delivered to the student from a three-stranded partnership -- the home, the church and the school.

Peoples Christian Academy's Vision BookletAt PCA we are committed to the value of training children in the ways of the Lord. Many believing parents question the validity of Christian schooling. Dr. Randy Douglas is someone who has looked carefully at this question in light of the current trends among young adults indicating an exodus from our evangelical churches.
