Mr. Tim Barnett Receives Pro-Life Award

Peoples Christian Academy upholds the importance of pursuing practical ways whereby we can be “salt and light” in our culture. Mr. Tim Barnett has captured the essence of this ideal by establishing a pro-life club in our High School Division. By partnering with Toronto Right to Life and National Campus Life Network he has been able to source information and speakers to acquaint our High School students with the real ethical/biblical issues surrounding the “right to life” debate in our culture.

On Monday, November 8, Mr. Barnett was presented with "The Gwen Landolt Award for Outstanding Pro-Life Leadership" in 2010.  We congratulate Mr. Barnett on this remarkable achievement. Please pray for him as he continues to give leadership to our students in this area and also for our student members of “Lifeline,” our school’s pro-life club. Pray also that they will be effective in leading the way for other high school clubs to develop in the Toronto area.

Prayer Vigil – Prayer Requests

  2. Thank God for the overwhelming support from the Town of Markham councillors for our relocation to Markham.  His guiding hands were clearly seen in the public meeting on Nov 17, 2009.
  3. Continue to pray for the rezoning application as the final report is being prepared to be sent to the Town of Markham Council for the meeting on Dec 15, 2009.
  4. Continue to pray for our Architects, Dan Teh and Wesley Lim, and their teams as they prepare the detail drawings for the school.
  5. Pray for the process of bidding for the general contractor.  Pray that the board will choose according to His will.
  6. Pray for the workers’ safety as they renovate the building.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”  Matthew 6:33-34
