Hearing for the Dismissal of Appeal Update

Dear PCA families, staff, alumni, and friends,
We had the hearing by the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) yesterday (Feb 26) on the motion to dismiss the appeal against the zoning by-law amendment. The hearing lasted 7.5 hours. The appointed member of the OMB who presided over the hearing heard the case from both sides and will issue a decision within the next 30 days or earlier.
Should the dismissal not be granted by the OMB, an expedited hearing date has been scheduled for this coming April. Normally a hearing date is scheduled between 4 to 6 months later. We thank God for His guiding hand as PCA found favour in the eyes of the OMB and the Town of Markham . Both of them recognized the urgency to have the zoning finalized and agreed to arrange such an early hearing date.
Thank you all who have prayed for the school. Let's continue to pray for God's mercy and persevere in trusting Him during this challenging time.
We also continue to have negotiations with Peoples Ministry Inc. to extend our stay at our current Sheppard location until relocation to Renfrew is ready for Dec. 2010 or June 2011.
