245 Renfrew appeal hearing scheduled

Dear PCA families, staff, alumni and friends,
Re: 245 Renfrew appeal hearing scheduled
As you may be aware, the Zoning By-law Amendment (ZBA) for 245 Renfrew was passed, pending appeals, by the Town of Markham Council on December 15, 2009 after just over 8 months of the legal processes despite delays and objections from the southern neighbour; where then, the neighbour appealed to the ZBA on the last day of the appeal period - January 12, 2010.
Our landlord has confirmed his intention to ensure the ZBA would be successful and hired one of the finest and experienced municipal lawyer's to win/dismiss our case.
On January 27, 2010, a motion to dismiss the appeal was submitted by our landlord's municipal lawyer to the Ontario Municipal Board (OMB) for its earliest hearing date.
On January 28, 2010, PCA Board held an Urgent and Important meeting to update our current site progress, financial status, and fundraising efforts. Including a $1.5 million savings on renovations costs! For a complete list of miracles thus far please visit www.pca.ca/siteprogress
Today, we have updated news - a hearing for the dismissal of appeal has been scheduled for next Friday, February 26, 2010 at 10 am -- Praise the Lord for this early hearing date!
We ask all to pray to our Lord for a quick decision for dismissal as the OMB has up to 30 days to provide a written decision after the hearing.
Special Prayer Meeting
A special prayer meeting time is scheduled for this Friday, Feb. 19 from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Portable 1 (next to JK-SK Playground). All are invited and welcomed to stay as short or as long as your time permits. Prayer can be conducted in the language you are comfortable with.
In the mean time, we are continuing our final design and working drawings for our new location. We are also in negotiations for an extension to stay in our current location, until Renfrew is ready, with Peoples Ministries Inc.
We are closer then ever in achieving our goals of having a permanent school for God's glory. We are thankful and blessed with the most dedicated and qualified Christian teachers and staff providing the best quality education and Biblical foundation for our children. We ask for your prayers, support and faith as we move forward. Your help, suggestions, and questions are welcomed, please feel free to contact the PCA Board at board (at) pca (dot) ca
