PCA Inc. 2009 AGM Updates

On Oct 26, 2009, PCA Inc. hosted its annual general meeting at the Peoples Church Auditorium.  Over 50% of parent and alumni members attended the meeting either in person or via proxy.  The quorum was met.
 
The board of directors provided important updates regarding the progress of 245 Renfrew Drive.  The Town of Markham has approved to schedule the public meeting on 245 Renfrew Drive rezoning amendment.  The public meeting will start at 7:00 p.m. on Nov 17, 2009 at Council Chambers, Anthony Roman Centre, 101 Town Centre Boulevard, Markham, L3R 9W3.  It is important for all of us to come to the public meeting to show support for the school.

The board of directors also explained the financing plan. For more details regarding:

• A Legacy of Learning Celebration Dinner on Nov 24, 2009 (by invitation only)
• Campaign brochure to send out to 3,500 alumni
• Commitment week (Dec 7 - 11, 2009)
• Celebration event (Jan 23, 2010)

Members voted on the amendments of by-laws, appointment of auditor and insurance policy. All items received over 89% of favour votes. All three director candidates, Carol Lam, George Gooderham and Ron Gray, received majority of favour votes and are now PCA Inc. board of directors effective immediately.
