H1N1 Protocol

To PCA Parents,

Please be aware of the Pandemic Response Plan as posted here on the school’s website, www.pca.ca.  It may be viewed on the “My PCA” page.  In the event of sickness, please implement the following practices.
  1. If a student has a fever or is vomiting he/she must stay home.
  2. If a student arrives at school with either of these symptoms orother related problems he/she will not be allowed in class and parentswill be contacted to take him/her home as quickly as possible.
  3. If a student develops any of these symptoms while at school he/shewill be removed from the classroom and parents will be called to takehim/her home as soon as possible.
  4. The person named as the Emergency Contact on your child’s file willbe contacted to take the student home if the school cannot contact theparents.
  5. The school will supply alcohol based hand sanitizers to be available in each classroom as well as offices and staff rooms.
  6. Hands must be washed or sanitized before eating lunches and after using the washrooms.
  7. Sharing of drinks, candies and other foods will not be allowed.
  8. Watch for new and updated information on the school’s website, www.pca.ca.  Go to “News and Events” or the “My PCA” page.
