Board Update 2012-10-05
Board of directors | 2012-10-05
Oct 5, 2012
Dear PCA parents,
It is amazing how quickly time passes. We have already started school for a month. Hope all of you and your children have settled down nicely. The board would like to extend a special welcome to all the new PCA families. Hope you find the school a home away from home for your children and the PCA community a strong support to your families.
If you have been on the school premise lately, you may have seen the newly renovated Early Learning Centre (day care) at the North West corner of the building. By God’s grace, we are able to raise enough capital for its renovation. Preparation work is in full gear now and we are patiently waiting for the granting of the license from the Ministry of Community and Social Services. May we ask that you keep this in your prayer?
Another renovation that is taking place is the kitchen. Having an onsite kitchen will allow our students to enjoy delicious and healthy hot meals prepared by Mr. Chu, who was a chef at a 4 star hotel before committing to his service at PCA. We target to have the renovation completed in November. For the time being, we very much appreciate Peoples Church’s great support to PCA by allowing us to continue using their kitchen to serve our student’s needs.
As Thanksgiving is around the corner, many of us are wondering to whom we should utter our thanks. We hope you will join us together in thanking our teachers and staff as they faithfully and whole-heartedly nurture our children every day. While we keep hearing about the escalated job actions from the public school system where salaries will be frozen, we cannot stop remembering what a difference how our staff team reacted when we needed to roll back salary few years ago. To us, it was an action driven by Love and care.
Lastly, if you have the calling to support the school financially, please feel free to send your donation to the school office. PCA is a charitable organization, tax receipts for your donations will be sent to you accordingly. Thank you in advance for your great support and prayer.
Wishing you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving.
