Important Dates, AGM and Call for Directors

Dear Parents, Guardians and Alumni Members,
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Peoples Christian Academy Inc. (PCA) called on June 9, 2009 was adjourned because the number of Parent Members present did not meet quorum. As such, the election of directors was put on hold.
Call for Directors
The PCA Board would like to re-open the call for directors from August 17, 2009 to September 18, 2009. An Annual General Meeting will be held on October 27, 2009 to finalize the election of directors and to transact such other businesses as required by the By-Laws.
In John 13:13 - 15, Jesus said to his disciples:
You call me ’Teacher’ and ’Lord’, and rightly so, for that is what I am.
Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.
I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
Serving on the PCA Board is challenging and time committed yet satisfying and rewarding in helping build PCA’s future foundation. There are many issues that can only be resolved in God’s way and in God’s timing. A prime example is finding the future home of PCA that God has in store for us. The important thing to note is that God works miracles through His humble and obedient servants.
Please pray and consider carefully your commitment to serve God in the capacity of a PCA Director for a term of three years. PCA Directors will not receive any remuneration other than the reimbursement of reasonable expenses incurred in performing their duties.
Two (2) Directors from the Parent Members and two (2) Alumni Directors from the Alumni Members are to be elected. The timeline for election of directors is as follows:
Call for director candidates: Aug 17 to Sep 18
Interview of director candidates: Sep 19 to Oct 4
Posting of bio and video: Oct 5 to 9
Online / paper proxy voting: Oct 10 to 26
Annual General Meeting: October 27
According to the PCA By-Law sub-section 6.03, "each director shall be a Christian who maintains the qualifications described in I Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:6-16". The current PCA Board in conjunction with the Nominating Committee reserves the right to assess the eligibility of an applicant to stand for election.
All applicants must register as a member of PCA.

Candidates of PCA Directors are required to complete the following by September 18, 2009:
In John 13:16 - 17, Jesus continued to tell his disciples:
I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
If you sense God’s calling to be His leading servant in PCA, please respond in obedience and faith.

- Read the PCA By-Laws, in particular, Article 6 on Directors
- Fill out an Application for Directorship
- Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement with PCA
- Carefully read and sign the PCA Statement of Faith
- Sign the consent form for videotaping the interview of the director candidate
- Two written references provided by third parties, one of which must be provided by the ministry staff of the church currently attending
- Criminal record check (It takes 2 weeks to process. Please do this as soon as possible.)
