Dear PCA families, staff, alumni and friends,

Below is a poem from the first PCA yearbook:

If you can take a young child’s hand
And guide his steps aright;
If we can lead him in the path
Of God’s eternal light’

If we can make him bold and strong
To face the world outside;
If we can teach him right from wrong,
To let God be his Guide;

If we can plant within his heart
A steadfast faith in God,
Though far away his steps may roam
Upon a foreign sod;

If we can teach him just to live
In such a way that he
Will give full honour and respect
To all authority;

If we can teach God’s moral laws
Amidst this world’s decay,
That when he’s tempted to transgress
He will not disobey;

If we can teach him discipline,
New goals for each new day,
A life that has direction, with
No hours to waste away;

If he can feel a standard here
Of learning is the best,
Of scholarly attainment that
Will help him in life’s quest;

Then we will know within these walls
When he has grown and gone,
That here at Peoples School he learned
To put God’s armour on.

For the last 39 years, God has graciously used PCA to bring blessings to many children and their families. We are all proud to be associated with this great ministry. At this moment in time, we have the opportunity to participate in God’s work in the establishment of a new home for PCA. $1.2MM has been pledged and many are praying and considering. Many have demonstrated over and above giving and we know God will be no man’s debtor. For those of you who have yet to take part in this, may God give you the faith and courage to participate as He prompts you obedience.

245 Renfrew is the destination. It is time for your commitment to be made to start renovation. Your participation will make a difference in many children’s lives. Please find the investment highlights for the corporation to fund the renovation.

Included below is 245 Renfrew Corporation Investment Highlights:

Rate of Return

6.5% averaged over 10 years

4% for the first 2 years
11.5% for year 3 (catch up payment included)
6.5% from years 4 to 10

Calendar year is the fiscal year. Returns are paid by March 31 of the following year

Term

Expected term is 3 to 5 years. Investment retires when PCA acquires property and renovations with its own mortgage. Target date is between years 3 and 5
Transfers earlier than targeted retirement period are possible subject to shareholders agreement
Maximum term is 10 years to match the structure of the property lease

Risk Management

PCA has an exclusive right to purchase the property for 10 years even if it does not have title. Assignable to the Corporation
Appraisal in progress – valuation will significantly reduce risk
Traditional financing is available at the earliest when 35% ofappraised value is invested at which point the Corporation can acquire title to the property

Corporate Structure and Management

The simpler the better
Overhead minimization
Tax minimization
Management minimization
Corporate organization to be finalized
