Dear Parents /Guardians and Students,
Welcome to school year 2009/2010 at Peoples Christian Academy!
We are very thankful for God's goodness to us in the past and we look forward to great things in the future. This is certainly a special time in our history as we enter our last year at our present location. It is also extremely exciting about the endless possibilities that God has in store for us as we move to a new location next year.
I trust that you had a restful and enjoyable summer and I am excited about seeing you back at PCA in September.
September 8, 2009 - first day back at PCA!
No Morning Child Care on the first day of school.
8:40 Line up by grade outside Founder’s Hall (Grades 1-6). In the event of rain, line up inside Founder’s Hall. Brief announcements will be given by Mr. Mansell. JK and SK students are to be escorted by their parents through the main Elementary entrance directly to their classroom (according to staggered entry schedule).
8:50 Opening Assembly (Auditorium). Students will sit with teachers. Seating for parents is available at the back of the Auditorium.
Elementary students and teachers only dismissed from Opening Assembly to grade rooms.
3:30 School day ends. After School Child Care available till 5:45 p.m.
Chapels this year will be held in the Auditorium from 8:55 - 9:30 a.m. on:
Day 3 - JK - Grade 2
Day 6 - Grades 3 - 6
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend any of our Chapels. This year each class will be leading one Chapel. Watch for announcements concerning when each class is scheduled.
Be prepared for the first day of school with: supplies, full uniform, a big smile and being ready to have a great year!
Elementary Updates
A loving, nurturing and committed teaching staff is the nucleus that helps make PCA into an excellent school for God’s glory. We are very proud of the contribution that each staff member, both teaching and office, brings to our school. There was good news over the summer that Miss Baker will be teaching for the year in South Korea. Our thoughts and prayers are with her.
A listing of all the Elementary faculty and staff is included and I encourage you to please pray for them by name so we can really prepare for this school year with God’s full blessing and the power of His Holy Spirit.
There are still spaces for new students in all grades. If you know anyone that is looking for a quality Christian school please tell them to give us a call in the office at 416 222-3341 ext.151.
Once school has begun, you will be receiving the File Update Sheet for your family. Please make any necessary revisions including adding your email address. This is required in order to ensure that vital information can be sent to you in a timely manner
Child Care
We are very pleased to be able to continue to offer this service to our families. Just a reminder that for those families who use the Child Care regularly you must pay in advance, and at the beginning of each month. Mr. Johnny Chu does a great job looking after our Child Care program.
Looking Upward for God's Guidance
Prayer needs to be our focus as we start a new year and look daily for God’s guidance as a Christian school.
