Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Dec 10, 2010 Dear parents, The fall term has swept by us so fast. We have experienced lots of love, joy and encouragement. God has surely been with us along the way. Here’s another sharing from a new PCA family who has made a generous donation to the school: In early 2010, my husband and I started to think about where to put our son for JK in September. A gifted school is just around the corner but a brother at church said to us, “If you want to send your child to private school, the best one is PCA." We are a single income family and my husband is not a professional. Would we have enough money to send our son to PCA? We live in Markham and PCA is in North York, it poses some challenge to transportation. We prayed about it and asked God to show us the way. Few months later, God miraculously provided us with enough money to send our son to PCA, so we went to the school office to inquire. The school office indicated that PCA might move to Markham in September but was not confirmed yet. We were happy to learn that so we registered our son here. My son had been with me all these years so the first few days at school had been hard for him. He cried non stop for the first three days. Mrs. Wakefield, with so much patience and love and strength, carried my 40-lb son and comforted him during those days. I was so touched by her loving care. The past few months at PCA, not only my son was nurtured, I felt that I, myself, was also nurtured. PCA is like a family with much love and care for each other. It’s a school that has God in it and I treasure and enjoy every moment in and around the school. I thank God for answering our prayer. With Christmas approaching, we remember how Jesus has come to this world to save us. Sending our children to Christian education is the right thing to do, so our children can come to know Christ and build a strong foundation on HIM in their early years. We love to receive these wonderful testimonies. If you want to share your experiences and have no time to write them, please contact us at pac (at) pca.ca and someone will help you to put together a piece, so that other families can be encouraged. We heard so many times that there are families in Markham just waiting for us to move. If you still haven’t submitted the Intent to Register, why wait? Some grades have only a few spots left! Here are the answers to some common questions: 1.There will be school bus between current Sheppard location to Renfrew, and the cost will be around $6 per round trip. 2. There will be extended childcare and after school activities. The PAC will coordinate with the school in organizing afterschool program. 3. The $50 pre-registration fee is refundable if the school does not move to Renfrew in September. Again, the enrolment number will have an impact on the arrangement of finance, so your action will be of utmost importance. The Staff and Teachers’ Appreciation/Christmas Dinner was held on Dec 2 at Century Palace. A big thank you to all the parents who have contributed to the event. Your generosity has allowed us to provide our hard working teachers and staff a fun filled night, great food, gifts and most importantly, a fellowship time to thank our Lord. Lastly, a couple of reminders: 1. PCA Christmas concert will be on Dec 14, 6:30 pm at Willowdale Pentecostal Church. Please invite your family and friends to come celebrate. 2. The gift cards have arrived. If no one has contacted you yet for pick up, please email us at pac (at) pca.ca. In HIM, Parent Advisory Committee Peoples Christian Academy (PCA) Inc |
