May 14, 2010 ISSUE # 12
Dear parents, On May 11, the elementary school put together a wonderful spring concert. Aside from the great performances of the band and the string orchestra (it’s amazing how much they have improved over the year), and the always cute and most touching singing from the kindergarteners, grade 1 to 6 participated in the musical called “I Witness News: Live from Jericho”. The story was about the Israelites entering Jericho. Ever wonder how it feels like after wandering in the desert for 40 years and finally you are here at the gateway to the Promised Land only to find out that it’s surrounded by walls that are so strong that it seems impossible to conquer? God worked his miracles thousands of years ago, and He will do it again if we have faith. “Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” (Heb 11:1). The PAC wants to share the song, “Be Strong” that was performed by the elementary school that night with all of you: “Be strong everyone take courage Remember it was God who brought us here Be strong everyone don’t worry For when we trust in God there is no fear”. Thank you Mrs. Siu, teachers, staffs and students, for bringing this meaningful event to us. With the year end fast approaching, here’s a quick recap of the upcoming PAC event, and your participation in these events will be highly appreciated. · May 18 Parenting Seminar (Redeeming the Cyberspace Generation) · May 27 Teachers and Staffs Appreciation Luncheon · Jun 23 Year End Celebration So far, the response for the Parenting Seminar has been very encouraging.
