May 7, 2010 ISSUE # 11
Dear parents,
This week is all about praising God. If you haven’t attended the special meeting on May 6 (Thursday) night, here are some of the highlights that are worthy of praise.
Let’s all reflect upon the reason why we send our children to PCA, and we should be persistent in our faith, for Jesus promised, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." (Mat 19:26). We have to remember that God is the head of the school, and He is in charge. As our children are learning the precious words of God, let’s all learn how to trust and obey.
Given the fact that the school has received new applications to the Renfrew location, the PAC will research into the possibility of reverse busing from Markham to Sheppard, and making one stop at Willowdale and Cummer. For parents who have concern regarding the school operations between two locations, please contact Mr. Andrews, Mr. Mansell or Mrs. Cracknell.
The parenting seminar is going to take place on May 18, 7 to 9 pm, at the Wilfred Annex W1. The topic is “Redeeming the Cyberspace Generation”. Our guest speaker is Dr. Timothy Quek, renowned conference speaker and pastor at Scarborough Community Alliance Church. Admission is $5 per person. Childcare will be provided. Please watch out for poster and flyer this week for more information and make sure to email us for reservation of seats in advance. We’re sure we will all benefit from this seminar. Also, this can be a great fellowship opportunity to meet some of the friends from school that we haven’t had a chance to talk to maybe for years.
With God’s grace and the wonderful work of Spirit, the number of Prayer Warrior Teams has grown to 6. Please continue to send us your contact information so we can all be a part of this mission. Let’s all pray for God’s will be done in His time, and His name be praised and glorified.

As a reminder, the teachers and staffs appreciation luncheon will take place on May 14. If you haven’t dropped off your gift and still want to show your appreciation, please email us for gifts pick up. Thanks.

- We thank God that PMI has agreed to let the majority of the school, that is high school and grade 4 to 6 to continue to stay at the current location.
- The school has been in talk with Wellspring Worship Centre (near Willowdale and Cummer) which is less than 10 minutes away from the current Sheppard location, and JK to grade 3 will move there for the next academic year. Right now the arrangement is only pending city approval. Zoning is not an issue.
- We have raised over a million dollars already and have parents pledged to give once the rezoning goes through.
- Many of our beloved teachers have offered part of their salaries back to the school. Where else can you find dedicated teachers like that?
