Dear parents, Here’s the final part of our student’s testimony. Testimony- Part III Speaking of teachers, PCA has incredible teachers. On my second day of Grade Eight, I broke my right arm. My arm eventually healed but only to be broken again three days later on a ski trip. Miss Vanderwerf and Mr. Philip stayed with me in the hospital in Barrie until about three. I am very thankful to them for dealing with my flood of tears. Last year in Grade Eleven, during Road Trip, I got sick at night, and Mrs. Lee took care of me. This year, while on a fieldtrip, I was once again unwell, and Mrs. Lindstrom stayed up for part of the night with me. When I returned, Mrs. Hing asked me how I was feeling. I thank all the teachers for their genuine concern. I’ve spent more time with some of my classmates than my brother. I met my best friends at PCA when we were in elementary school. The friendships I’ve built at PCA are ones that I hope will last a long time. I’m actually not sure how I’m going to deal with the separation after graduation. I have experienced both good and bad times at PCA, and my true friends have never left me. PCA is going through tough times right now, we should all show our support. Tough times are meant to strengthen. PCA needs to continue to thrive so that more experiences like mine can happen. We often heard people say that Christian education means overprotection. However, aren’t we all protecting our children from harmful physical and social influences? So why does spiritual welfare have to take a back seat? Isn’t it more important for our children to develop a strong foundation of differentiating right from wrong based on our Lord’s teaching? Doesn’t it make you shudder just to hear that the government plans to introduce sex education to public elementary school? Let’s pray that we all stand firm behind our beliefs in Christian education. Praise the Lord for continuing to touch each and every individual hearts. Recently, we have a parent subscribing to the We Love PCA Club by instalments. According to the parent, “we would like to contribute more to the We Love PCA Club. But we do not have enough cash to do that at one time, as we have to save it up from our regular income. We hope to reach the 25k first target soon…” These encouraging stories are what spur us on. The PAC also wants to thank the board for all the sacrifices that they have made for the school. Please remember to pray for their wisdom and good health. If you want to join our prayer warrior team, please send your contact information to us at pac (at) pca (dot) ca. The PAC spring parenting seminar is coming up soon. Please reserve May 18 evening to attend this meaningful event which will definitely help improve our understanding of our children.
