Sod-Turning Ceremony

Sod-Turning Ceremony MARKHAM, March 3, 2011/ Peoples Christian Academy (PCA) will be holding a sod-turning ceremony on Saturday, March 26th to mark the start of construction for its new facility. The new site, which currently consists of 60,000 sq. ft. of office/warehouse space on 5 acres of land with green space is located at 245 Renfrew Drive in Markham, is about to be transformed into a fully functioning school building. An all-grade private Christian school, PCA has served the Greater Toronto Area community since September of 1971 and boasts over 3000 alumni, with a strong history of excellence in values-based preparatory education. The creation of the school was a result of the vision of Dr. Oswald J. Smith and Dr. Paul B. Smith, both former pastors of The Peoples Church, Toronto. Peoples Christian Academy believes that, in cooperation with the home, its mandate is to train up students to be difference makers in their world. Inspected by the Ministry of Education for Ontario, PCA seeks to offer a high level of academic training to the entire community. The general public are invited to attend the event. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 am, following which, refreshments will be served as opportunity is given to visitors to discover more about PCA's program.
